It’s coming out on November 18th (North America), and I just can’t wait!
Both me and my Dad played the demo together and we were very impressed. My dad was surprised at how many zombies could rush in at once when the horde was alerted, I was more surprised at how advanced the source engine is becoming. The new premise of dynamic behavior physics was by far impressive, especially since half life 2 had combine soldiers dropping like sacks of flour. Not to mention the dynamic shadows, and shaders. I can very well say that Left 4 Dead has lived up to the hype so far, and this game will prove to be in the top 5 at least. That is, if it doesn’t pull a mirror’s edge.
Speaking of which, I was kind of disappointed with mirror’s edge getting a 7.0, it was the 4th most discussed game of 2008 and it had to get a semi-decent rating as opposed to a ground-breaking one. That makes Dead Space the most successful EA game this year. Congratulations EA Rockwood Shores >:3.
Also wtf was with the L4D TV spot? It had EA flash for the first second of the trailer o_o
